Professor JaeSeung Song (Sejong University, Korea) provided an overview of oneM2M and recent IoT standardization activities for participants at the Industry Day event held in Tokyo (Japan) on 6 December 2023. In addition to setting the context for oneM2M’s founding and standardization roadmap, Professor Song shared examples of important technical features and new work items related to data licensing, AI/ML and metaverse systems whose operation depends on close coupling with IoT elements and systems.
