oneM2M Stakeholders’ Day

Type: Workshop

oneM2M Stakeholders’ Day (24 Feb, 2023: Delhi, India: Hybrid)

February 24 @ 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

After a gap of three years, TSDSI hosted the oneM2M 58th Technical Plenary and a one-day workshop – Stakeholders Day in New Delhi, India from 20th February to 23rd February 2023 and 24th February 2023 respectively.

While the Technical Plenary meetings of oneM2M were restricted to members, the Stakeholders Day event was open to all and thus gave an opportunity to the local players (market, industry, policy makers and regulatory agencies) to interact with the oneM2M experts, to exchange views on the IoT/M2M , landscape, local requirements, innovations and global trends and standards.

The Stakeholders Day workshop enabled local players (market, verticals, policymakers, regulatory agencies, startups) and oneM2M technical experts to interact closely and deliberate on India specific requirements, local innovations and solutions. It assumed particular significance because of the adoption of TSDSI transposed oneM2M Release 2 and Release 3 standards as national standards by Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC).  Release 4, which has recently been ratified in the oneM2M TP 57, is planned to be transposed by TSDSI and thereafter shared with TEC for consideration for adoption as National Standards.

The workshop supplemented the efforts of TSDSI in strengthening engagement of the Indian ecosystem with oneM2M related activities to facilitate acceptance and deployment of oneM2M based systems under various initiatives like Digital India, Smart Cities etc.

The workshop also had demonstrations by those who have adopted oneM2M for their vertical application / use cases in various sectors. Some of these also demonstrated interoperability / interworking with oneM2M.

Speakers: The workshop speakers were renowned subject matter experts drawn from TSDSI member organizations, oneM2M partnership project experts, Govt. of India, Regulatory and other stakeholder entities.
